Season 1 of Zoo debuted on the CBS channel in the US on Tuesday, June 30, 2015 at 9pm ET/PT and it is expected to contain 13 episodes. The series premiere drew an impressive audience of over 8 million people and became the highest-rated debut for any scripted show this summer. What’s even more impressive is the fact that the second episode of Zoo averaged 7.53 million viewers, which means that it retained 92% of its premiere audience. With such impressive numbers and equally impressive reviews there is no doubt that the freshman series will get renewed for another run.
